When we see mistletoe hanging over a doorway, what immediately pops into our minds? A kiss, of course.

But did you know that mistletoe was originally seen as a sign of vitality? It symbolized life force and fertility, which is kind of weird since it’s poisonous.

December is a month of festivity and celebrations. Merriment and vitality is in the air! Mistletoe can remind us to think of the things that “kiss” us with inspiration.

What lights you up?

What wishes and dreams are you sending out into the universe?

As we gather with loved ones during the holiday season, it’s important to remember to cherish the moments that bring us happiness and vitality. Maybe it’s spending time with family, indulging in your favorite foods, or simply taking a moment to appreciate the beauty of the world around you. Mistletoe reminds us to find inspiration and joy in unusual places.

And if you’re struggling right now, remember that you aren’t alone. Spend time with others, volunteering or with friends. You’d be surprised how much giving “life” to others can make us feel alive, as well.
